Amen ( Amon) 's origin was in Thebes. He is known as the Lord of Creation and Protector of The Poor and Weak. His name itself means "The Hidden One" and was considered the father of all gods with no mother and father, but Amen is still a husband to the Great Mother, Mut. The Egyptians represent him in art and statue as man or the sun. Amen's sacred animals were the ram and the goose, which kept all his temples alive throughout Egypt.



Bastet is a cat headed goddess, who became a solar deity until the arrival of Greek influence on Egyptian Society. Then on, he became a lunar goddess, from associating with the Artemis. From 2890- 2686, Bastet was either portrayed as a wild desert cat, or a lion, but it was only because he associated with the domesticated felines around 1000 BC. He was one of the " Eyes of Ra", known as the title of an avenger god who is sent out specifically to fight with the enemies of Egypt and her gods.



Horus ( Heru, Haroeris, Harpocrates)  is the son of Isis and Osiris, who's the god of the living and lord of the heavens.His name means " He Who Is Aboce", that represents a falcon or a hawk, because of his status as god, in the sky and horizon. There are many myths about Horus's eye, which people believed, he gave his right eye in a battle, which represented strength and self sacrifice. And another one, was Horus's eye represented the sun and the moon. When Horus was worshiped in Ancient Egypt, his cult centers were behdet in Lower Egypt,  and hierakonpolis and edfu were in Upper Egypt.



Ma'at (Maat) is known as the goddess of truth, justice and harmony. His father is Ra, the sun sun god. In Ancient Times, the pharaohs would show they wanted harmony and justice on the earth from Ma'at. She was represented as a women with a ostrich feather on her heard. And the higher official in the government and adviser to the pharaohs were known as priests of Ma'at.



Nut (Nuit)  is the goddess of the sky, who created the casing over the earth with her own body. Nut is the sister and wife of Geb, the god of the earth. The Egyptians believed she would, swallow Ra, the sun god, in the evening, and give birth to him in the morning. Also, she's a goddess from wearing a blue dress covered in stars.




Ptah is the creator  god of Memphis and the capital of the dual Kemetic. Ptah symbolizes a mummy, by wearing  a skull cap and holding the symbol of life, power and stability on his arms. He represents the sun , when it rises above the horizon or after it has risen. In the second dynasty, Ptah was regarded as a creator god, who's the leader of painters, builders, architects, artists, and sculptures. Ptah main job, is to build boats for the soul of the dead , that needs to be used in the after life, and is a master architect, to be responsible for building framework of the universe. Lastly, Ptah had created the great metal plate that was the floor of heaven and the roof in the sky.




Ra (Re) is represented in human form, with the heard of a falcon and is known as the God of Creation. Ra's cult center is Heliopolis, where he's know as the sun god, and supreme judge. Also, he's the father of kings and known to be the most  important gods, out from the rest. His followers  believed that life on earth, was created from the tears of Ra, when he wept the beauty of mankind and his own creation. They said, Ra was considered a living god, during the day and night of the dead. And even, as a child, he was born at dawn, an adult at midday, and a old man at sunset. Ra had died during midnight, but was re-created again at dawn.



Seth  is the god of wind and storms and ruler of the deserts. He's the one, who brings chaos to Egypt and is the mortal enemy of Osiris and Horus. Seth has a wife named Nephthys and sister from Osiris and Isis. His job is to be the protector of the dead. From Osiris and Isis, there came Horus, the King of Egypt.





Tawaret (Thoeris,Taurt) was known to be the "Great one", is the goddess who protects  women during their pregnancy stages and childbirths. Tawaret was worshiped by Ancient Egypt, in their own homes instead at temples. He would stay in people's homes, in order to keep them safe from evil spells and actions. Tawaret has the head of a hippo, and arms and legs of a lion and  the back and tail of a crocodile. She also, has a chest and stomach that resembles a pregnant women.
